Ode To Jackie [Nov. 12th, 2009|12:45 pm]
[mood | excited]

I logged on to see [info]myopic2000 had posted about me.

"Oh, Jackie.
You are the greatest.
There are so many things I want to say about you, that I won't have enough room on this page.

I love annoying you.
I love the awkward moments.
I love your crazy concoctions that you cook up... they're delicious.
I love working late with you because even though the work kinda sucks, you make it fun.
I love it when you eat while you're working.
And then chicken hangs out of your mouth and it makes me laugh.
I love the way you run and then the whole store can hear your keys jingle.
We always know where you are, it's kinda obvious.
I love it when you get confused and forget your sent me on break.
Then I get paranoid that I'm in trouble because you yell at me, but its really just because you're forgetful. <3
I love stealing your keys.
I love being fun of by you because I do weird things.
-Shut up, I'm awesome and you know it!
I love telling you random stories.
I love making fun of you for going to Northern football games even though you never went to Northern and make fun of me all the freaking time for going there. Guess what... I didn't have a choice, freakin Westerner.
I love that we met at Central and are now working together.
I love that you're an awesome manager.
Most importantly, I love spending time with you.

This was your Ode. I hope you enjoyed it, because I think it sucks.

I miss you Jackie! You better freakin work with me again soon!"

I feel special for once in my life.

I won a book...how perfect [Nov. 1st, 2009|01:31 am]
[mood | calm]
[music |the radio in my head on repeat]

Oh wow, what a Halloween.

I've officially won AGAIN thanks to IWearYourShirt.com (remember my awesome "BRAINS" Tshirt with the scarecrow from Wizard of Oz..?)

and this time it is a book.

Amazing. Plus I got to sleep in Jason's arms for an hour tonight while he xboxed. That was very relaxing after the day I've had.

The Post I had to comment on to win...which I did :-)

[mood | cheerful]
[music |Fable 2 loading screens]

I'm a lot less depressed than I was earlier.

Little Caesar's usually puts me in a good mood. Something about working an easy job with my amazing boss helps. Also Jason (my manager, not my bf or my bff) said he'd pray for me at church tomorrow. How awesome.

Now, I'm up too late playing xbox.
Maybe I shall read. I'm kinda into the Boleyn Girl book I've borrowed.

What a cute coincidence [Oct. 5th, 2009|02:54 pm]

[music |xbox noises]

I watched a movie today that one of my Wendys crew let me borrow...The title is "Bride and Prejudice" and it's about an American man trying to woo over an Indian woman. It was very cute really.

Anyway, one of the lines was after one of the sisters sneezed...the main character said "someone is thinking about you." Well the American man asked what she meant and she responded that in their culture they say someone is thinking about you if you sneeze.

Well, I hadn't heard from my bf all day (he's been at work and all) but it doesn't bother me to not hear from him. I was in the shower and as I was getting out I sneezed. I then laughed and thought "jason's thinking of me" and low and behold when I get back to my phone in my room (2 minutes later) there were two txts from him. One was from 2 minutes before and one was from the minute I walked into the room.

I thought it was a cute coincidence.

Who here has successfully driven a manual car, alone, without stalling? I have now :-)

Why you must ask? Well because Jason couldn't drive me home tonight (he was too tired...) so he had me just take his car home. So I have two cars tonight ha.

Oh, and he promised to take me to breakfast when I take his car back in the morning.

Idk, I think Stephanie would appreciate this cute story.

The other day, I was working at Wendys, doing the drive through, as usual (I never get to do any other position really) and this mother brings her two daughters through and orders food. When they get up to my window, the girl who is in the back seat (closest to me) says "I have a bell" and proceeds to start smashing it on her forehead. It's the kind of bell that's on store counters that say "ring me" to get the attention of the employees.

Her mother looks at me and says "I'm so sorry"

I said back to her "It's okay, this was the most random thing I heard all day."

The mother said, "Yeah, she knows it's making my eye palpatate and she thinks it's funny to stress mommy out." She was joking about it though.

The whole time the girl is giggling and smashing herself with the bell.

Little kids can be cute.

OH YEAH..

yesterday I got my first ever inspection at Wendy's with me being OPS leader.

I got an 82% which is passing, but isn't all that terribly good. I don't think Babette was all too happy with the score (we got points taken off mainly in the "cleanliness" section..sigh).

But either way, we passed. And that was good since I've never been inspected before. :-)

Kathleen even said she was proud of me.

Doctor's Jokes [Jan. 13th, 2009|08:51 pm]

Doctor Stories

mark as unread

A man comes into the ER and yells, "My wife's going to have her baby in the cab!" I grabbed my stuff, rushed out to the cab, lifted the lady's dress, and began to take off her underwear. Suddenly I noticed that there were several cabs, and I was in the wrong one. --Dr. Mark MacDonald, San Antonio, TX

At the beginning of my shift I placed a stethoscope on an elderly and slightly deaf female patient's anterior chest wall. "Big breaths," I instructed. "Yes, they used to be," she remorsefully replied. --Dr. Richard Byrnes, Seattle, WA

One day I had to be the bearer of bad news when I told a wife that her husband had died of a massive myocardial infarct. Not more than five minutes later, I heard her reporting to the rest of the family that he had died of a "massive internal fart." --Dr. Susan Steinberg, Manitoba, Canada

I was performing a complete physical, including the visual acuity test. I placed the patient twenty feet from the chart and began, "Cover your right eye with your hand." He read the 20/20 line perfectly. "Now your left." Again, a flawless read. "Now both," I requested. There was silence. He couldn't even read the large E on the top line. I turned and discovered that he had done exactly what I had asked; he was standing there with both his eyes covered. I was laughing too hard to finish the exam. --Dr. Matthew Theodropolous, Worcester, MA

During a patient's two week follow-up appointment with his cardiologist, he informed me, his doctor, that he was having trouble with one of his medications. Which one?" I asked. "The patch. The nurse told me to put on a new one every six hours and now I'm running out of places to put it!" I had him quickly undress and discovered what I hoped I wouldn't see. Yes, the man had over fifty patches on his body! Now the instructions include removal of the old patch before applying a new one. --Dr. Rebecca St. Clair, Norfolk, VA

While acquainting myself with a new elderly patient, I asked, "How long have you been bed-ridden?" After a look of complete confusion she answered, "Why, not for about twenty years -- when my husband was alive." --Dr. Steven Swanson, Corvallis, OR

I was caring for a woman from Kentucky and asked, "So, how's your breakfast this morning?" "It's very good, except for the Kentucky Jelly. I can't seem to get used to the taste," the patient replied. I then asked to see the jelly and the woman produced a foil packet labeled "KY Jelly." --Dr. Leonard Kransdorf, Detroit, MI

A new, young MD doing his residency in OB was quite embarrassed performing female pelvic exams. To cover his embarrassment he had unconsciously formed a habit of whistling softly. The middle aged lady upon whom he was performing this exam suddenly burst out laughing and further embarrassed him. He looked up from his work and sheepishly said, "I'm sorry. Was I tickling you?" She replied, "No doctor, but the song you were whistling was "I wish I was an Oscar Meyer Wiener." --won't admit his name

1. Grab the nearest book.
2. Open the book to page 56.
3. Find the fifth sentence.
4. Post the text of the next seven sentences in your journal along with these instructions.
5. Don't dig for your favorite book, the cool book, or the intellectual one: pick the CLOSEST.
6. Tag five other people to do the same

' Eragon looked back at the wretched butcher. He had no more time for mindless wandering. He had to choose. One way or another, he had to choose...
"Eragon!"
I don't know what's right, realized Eragon. His own uncertainty told him that it would be wrong to kill Sloan or return him to the Varden. He had no idea what he should do instead, except to find a third path, one tht was less obvious and less violent. '

-Brisingr
Christopher Paolini

' Josh wore an orange T-shirt that had the words I DON'T KNOW WHAT YOU'RE TALKING ABOUT stamped across the front in brown. Gage wore his usual smirk and a pristine white T-shirt. His gelled hair had gotten about half an inch taller. He probably thought it looked cool. I thought it looked like he'd just driven through a wind tunnel.
"Josh? Is that the building?" Sabine asked, moving her thick dark hair over her shoulder. '

The Good news [Jan. 5th, 2009|12:25 am]
[mood | calm]
[music |Metalocalypse]

My car is fixed again. And it only cost me $20 to the guy who fixed it. That's not bad to put some hose back on.

Apparently I've had a leak in my transmission line for a while (which would completely explain why I felt like I was driving in 2nd gear at times when I knew I wasn't) and on New Year's Eve, it decided to blow. On Tuesday he wants me to come by the shop so he can change some clamps and stuff that has gone bad. So, at least I have a workable car again.

Yay. Too bad I had to have it towed from Wixom to White lake...13.3 miles...and it cost me $92.25 shit.

Oh well.

OHH!! And as of tonight, I have a trip planned to Chicago next May. :-)
Specifically, May 8-10th.

Still give up? http://www.acen.org/

ACEN!!!!

I'm actually going to Anime Central this year...and I don't have to spend money on a costume (I still have my wings for my Midori outfit...woot).

I am uber excited about this, honestly. I've been waiting 2 years now to be able to go *swoon*

Time to save monies for a really needed trip.

Wake me up in 2010 [Jan. 1st, 2009|11:35 am]
[mood | aggravated]

So far, this New Years sucks...a lot.

First this whole house situation...31 days to go before we have to be completely out.

Then last night my car breaks down! I was only supposed to work until 10pm, but at 10, my other closing coworker comes up to me, says "bye" and is outta there. Leaving me to finish everything with minimal help from Andy...who was working on his closing manager stuff. Then Andy realizes that the front counter person didn't do ANYTHING she was to do, so WE ended up closing all that down too....ugh, I can't wait for that idiot to be fired. FINALLY we leave (nearly 11pm too) and I'm going to go to Meijers to get something for the family to drink at ball drop...Andy said he was going too..his wifey needed more Vodka (which in the end, I watched him pick out...lol).

So I pull into Meijers, happen to see Andy pull to the gas station, and suddenly, my car is acting all strange. I hit the accelerator, and I can hear the engine reving to go, but I'm not going anywhere very fast...

I know Andy knows a bit about cars so I point my car towards the gas station and plead he's still there. He is, pouring windsheild wiper fluid in his own car...and the spot next to him was empty. I pull up next to him, roll down my window and say, "Andyyyyyy....something is wrong with my car....fix it." and he says, "Ok....what's wrong."

He got in, drove it a few feet, looked under the hood, said I needed transmission fluid, helped to show me which one, and showed me where to put it. And then he put it in...and...it...came...right...back........out.....

So my car is currently backed into a spot at the Wixom Meijers gas station...awaiting for me to tow it somewhere I guess.

He then drove me over to Mejiers because it would be warmer waiting inside there (for my mom whom I called and was picking me up) than it would be waiting in my car. And it was. Andy is awesome.

And apparently don't let me touch anything, because I'll break it...
I went to the bathroom, attempted to flush the toilet and something inside it broke and it won't flush now. Great. Just great...luckily we DO have two bathrooms. It's just the point of the matter.
